Las Vegas Music Roundup: Rap Pack, Adele Rearrangements, Brian Newman Residency
If you've ever wondered what Rat Pack would sound like as a rapper, a new residency launching at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood in July will answer that question once and for all.
"Pass The Mic Live!" features New York hip-hop legends Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh. Everyone will take a turn at the microphone, which will be passed by DJ Cassidy, the absentee host. He's not a hip-hop legend, so we have to assume he's Joey Bishop, a member of the group.
Like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop joined forces in Las Vegas to form the Rat Pack, one of the greatest acts of all time: Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick, Doug · E. Fresh and I will join forces to create an experience that will go down in Las Vegas history. " Cassidy said in a statement.
Since 2020, Cassidy has been on multiple tours with the Pass the Mic Live lineup, and the label has gained recognition in the hip-hop community. Still, he should definitely call it a "rap bag."
Tickets for the shows will be on sale July 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20, and will go on sale at 10am on Saturday, April 13 via Ticketmaster.com.
