Twelve people sustained injuries... - Large fight occurs at a Berlin train station.
Based on an official statement from the police department, it's reported that a fight broke out late Saturday evening, and baseball bats and clubs were involved. Initially, the number of injured wasn't clear.
Around 70 fans were gathered by the police at the train station. However, a significant group of the culprits managed to escape in unknown directions by crossing over the train tracks.
The fire department arrived with 44 emergency personnel and took 11 individuals to the hospital. One person refused transportation.
The police officers and firefighters attended to the injured, while the police are now conducting an investigation to identify the perpetrators.
According to the police, it might have been a dispute between basketball fans. There were already severe incidents on the first night of the Euroleague Final Four in the Berlin Arena at Ostbahnhof on Friday, and two police officers were lighty injured.
