Kylie Minogue Reveals She'll Have Shows in Las Vegas

November 3 marks the launch of Kylie Minogue's first Las Vegas residency. It'll be held at the newly opened Voltaire, a performance venue within the Venetian Resort. Tickets will be available for purchase on August 9 via voltairelv.com.

During a press conference held at the Pendry Hotel in West Hollywood, Minogue expressed her excitement for her upcoming residency. "I've done a couple of performances in Vegas, but they were part of a tour. During the 'Showgirl' tour in 2004, my team suggested turning that into a Vegas show. When I did 'Aphrodite,' with its elaborate water features, they said we should try to make that happen," she shared.

The 55-year-old singer had contemplated a Vegas residency since late last year, with speculations pointing towards a 12-week stint at Caesars Palace or Planet Hollywood. She last performed in the U.S. in 2011.

"I wanted to do it when I was younger, not during the end of my career. I believe this is the ideal time to enjoy the experience to the fullest," Minogue added.

With a seating capacity of merely 1,000, the Voltaire is just a fraction of the size of Adele's The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. However, considering Minogue's remarkable 80 million in global album sales and her status as the most successful female artist in Australia, her presence is sure to generate a massive buzz.

Minogue described her show as an amalgamation of glamour and abandon. "I want to capture the essence of a Kylie concert – breathtaking costumes, live bed dances. And we'll work on some surprises," she revealed.

"Padam Padam," her song that made it to the Top 10 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and became a hit sensation on TikTok, serves as a precursor to her upcoming 16th studio album, "Tension," set for release on September 22. This album will include a track titled "Vegas High."

Talking about Vegas, Minogue reminisced, "We'd discuss going to Vegas, the potential possibilities. It's like a glittering thing in the distance. If you're flying in or driving, the atmosphere changes, and it's almost as though it's a Wonderland of its own."

The Studio 54-influenced Voltaire, set in the former Opaline Theatre adjacent to the Summit Showroom, was conceptualized by Venetian's chief content officer Michael Gruber (previously employed by Caesars) and designed by Emmy- and Tony Award-winning production designer Derek McLane. It's intended to serve as a venue for concerts, DJ sets, and burlesque performances.
