KISS intends to establish a casino.

Legendary American rock band KISS is gearing up to open a casino resort in Biloxi, Mississippi. The project is a collaboration with Arizona-based gambling and hotel operator RAM Group. Reports confirm that the Mississippi Gaming Commission has granted approval for the casino. What can we anticipate from this unique establishment?

Resurrecting the Margaritaville Casino

For years, KISS has been active in the restaurant industry and operates 21 restaurants across the globe. They're now set to expand their business ventures to the world of casinos. KISS, known for its signature face paint and flamboyant outfits, has entered a partnership with RAM Group. The duo aims to revive the previous Margaritaville Casino in Biloxi.

The casino complex had been shut down for five years following a disagreement between the casino operator and the landlord of the 68,000 square meter property. This dispute led to the closing of the casino in 2014, and the adjoining hotel was never completed. RAM acquired the venue in November and has now signed a letter of intent with KISS.

Casino with a Rock & Roll Aura

The casino will showcase the unique rock & roll charm of KISS. With over 100 million albums sold, the band is among the most successful in history. KISS, currently on a massive farewell tour, is slated to perform at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on March 15. The grand opening ceremony of the casino is planned to take place near Fifth Street in the lead-up to the concert.

Frontman Paul Stanley is expected to cut the bandana with RAM spokesman Tom Moore as well as Adam Goldberg, CEO of the KISS-owned Rock & Brews restaurant chain, in attendance. The group will enable you to relive the glory days of rock 'n' roll in Biloxi.

Top-Notch Investment

While the band's rock style will add the perfect touch, RAM will handle the technical aspects and infrastructure of the casino and hotel operations. The company plans to invest over $200 million into converting the venue. This massive investment is anticipated to create a world-class casino and hotel experience.

The complex will house a luxury hotel with over 300 rooms, an elaborate swimming pool area, and a harbor-side location. KISS fans can expect over 1,000 slot machines, several gaming tables, and a 40,000 square meter (or more) casino area. "The building's interior is better than we ever expected," says Tom Moore. "We are excited to bring life back to this part of Biloxi. Mayor Andrew Gilich has also endorsed the project."

A 3,000-seat concert hall will add to the casino's list of amenities. "Visitors to the resort will have a completely different sound experience," they add. The casino will also feature images and collectibles from the world of rock music, offering an interactive experience.

Spring Start of Construction

Moore, a Biloxi native, describes the area as a "forgotten region." Construction on the new casino is set to begin in the spring and the necessary funding has already been secured. The project has received approvals from both the Biloxi Planning Commission and the Mississippi Gaming Commission.

Tourists and residents can look forward to experiencing this "one-of-a-kind" establishment that is expected to benefit the entire state.

Crossover of Hard Rock and iGaming

KISS is an exceptionally popular band, having successfully maintained relevance over the years. Partnerships between rock groups and gaming companies are relatively common. This can be seen in the various hard rock slots, such as those by WMS (Scientific Games) and NetEnt featuring Guns N' Roses and Motörhead.

As if that's not enough, AC/DC has also forged a partnership with Wazdan to create a slot machine. Another significant partnership was formed in 2018 between Play'n GO and Candlemass, resulting in the House of Doom slot. The company provided a fitting soundtrack for this gambling venture, just as KISS is setting new standards with their very own casino experience.
