Individuals Modify Headlines/Descriptions - Kirsten Dunst Expresses Concerns Over Her Children's Safety

Actress Kirsten Dunst is worried about the rising gun violence in the United States, particularly concerning her children's safety.

In an interview with "Bunten", the 42-year-old actress said, "I can't take my kids to the park without fearing they'll get shot. This is the reality for parents in America."

She currently stars in the dystopian action thriller "Civil War", which portrays a divided future nation, and opens in cinemas on April 18th. When discussing any similarities to current events, Dunst expressed her concerns, "I'm really anxious. It's incredible how women's rights are being pushed back again these days. And the gun problem has only worsened."

Despite the increasing gun violence, Dunst believes there's little hope for improvement. "Do you remember the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012? Nothing has changed regarding gun legislation since then. If the deaths of 20 children didn't make a difference, it's pretty hopeless," she added.

Gun violence is prevalent in the USA

In 2012, a 20-year-old man killed 20 schoolchildren and six teachers at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut. In America, these tragic events have become a sad norm. Guns are readily available and widely distributed.

There have been discussions surrounding stricter gun regulations, but with little success. Most efforts to tighten gun laws fail due to the Republicans and the gun lobby's influence. President Biden has been urging for tighter regulations as well.
