Keith Urban FaceTimes fans on stage during Planet Hollywood Las Vegas residency
It was brought to her living room by country singer Keith Urban, a superfan who couldn't stay in Las Vegas.
In one segment of the show, the singer knelt on stage to talk to fans in the front row, and a woman from Ohio asked if he could FaceTime her daughter. To her surprise, he agreed. To her surprise, her daughter answered the video call.
"I'm on a FaceTime call! Lindsay on the other end of the line is the cutest. I love that KU takes the time to make fans feel like they're a part of the show," @nannersest2016 wrote.
Keith, 27, and Lindsey Ames chatted for two minutes on stage at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, with Ames holding up a wireless microphone to on Lindsay's mother's iPhone so viewers could listen.
When Urban asked a stunned Lindsay what she was doing, she replied that she was sitting on the couch at home with her boyfriend. At this point, Urban asked to see him. After Lindsay tilted the camera for a second, Urban joked that he looked "high as a kite."
Urban posted a video of the conversation on his Instagram account. In the comments, hundreds of his fans praised Urban for taking the time to do something so special for his fans.
Ames himself even got involved.
"Hands down the best FaceTime I have ever received!!!" she wrote. “Thank you @keithurban for being such a genuine person and taking the time to love your fans. You have no idea what this means to me and my mom!@bonjoann Thank you for that Call!!❤️🔥”
Urban's residency at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood runs through November 18, 2023.
