UEFA Champions League - Kane scores 43 goals and eyes Wembley: "Just two games remaining"

Harry Kane found the back of the net once again and retained his 100% success rate from penalties while donning a Bayern Munich uniform. However, this accomplishment offered little solace for the English forward following Bayern's semi-final encounter against Real Madrid. "Naturally, the initial emotion after taking the lead is one of disappointment," said the 30-year-old, having endured a late equalizer from Real Madrid through a penalty to secure a 2-2 draw.

Kane expressed his thoughts to Prime Video following the final whistle, "Our momentum, along with two or three notable scoring chances after we took the lead, could have turned into a decisive third goal." The English international, who once graced the field for Tottenham Hotspur, hopes to realize his ambition of lifting the Champions League trophy in London. "We're geared up for an amazing match next week at the Santiago Bernabeu. I'm excited about it. Two additional matches is the target we're aiming for."

With initial hype surrounding the "great game" on the horizon, Kane also intends to replicate his form for England's national team. "The crucial aspect is our team's overall performance, at least on par with Real Madrid," he stated. Kane's moment of glory came in the 57th minute, when he struck from the penalty spot as only he knows how to. This marked his sixth penalty conversion for Bayern in the Bundesliga and Division 1 (three each).

Cumulatively, Kane has netted 43 goals in 43 competitive outings for Bayern, amassing 35 of those goals in the Bundesliga and eight in the top division. He stands atop both the Bundesliga and Champions League goalscorer charts, tied with the reigning world player of the year Kylian Mbappe, who will lead Paris Saint-Germain in their clash against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night.

The ultimate prize, though, remains a major accolade at Wembley. "We can extract numerous positives from this performance," observed Kane, solely concentrating on next week's match with Real Madrid. "We'll be battling it out to see who advances to the final."
