Tragic error in the Gaza region - Israeli soldiers perish due to friendly fire incident

In a recent occurrence, tanks approached the refugee region of Jabalia on Wednesday, targeting a building with several shells. The military personnel were within the building. Apparent misunderstanding led the tank crew to perceive the people inside the building as armed Palestinians.

As reported by "Jerusalem Post", the tank team was under tremendous pressure due to previous conflicts with radical Palestinians, where they received substantial fire from anti-tank grenades. Consequently, all the viewing slits and the top hatch of the tanks were sealed to provide protection.

The incident on Wednesday marks a significant fatality of 626 Israeli soldiers and over 3,500 injured since the initiation of the Gaza War. Originating from the unthinkable massacre of over 1,200 Israelis murdered by terrorists from Hamas and other groups on October 7, the war escalated.

However, the exact number of casualties on the other side is quite differentiated. Although Palestinian authorities highlight over 35,000 fatalities in the Gaza Strip and boast of an overwhelming proportion of women and children, the UN has significantly decreased its estimates recently.
