German Football Association standout calls it quits following Euro Cup. - Is this Liverpool player poised to replace Kroos at Real Madrid?
A Successor on the Horizon?
Toni Kroos: "After ten years, this story concludes at the end of the season. I'll always cherish this fruitful era!"
Real Madrid also has to bid farewell to another seasoned stalwart. His absence will leave a significant void in the midfield, prompting them to explore potential replacements.
Could this Klopp protégé replace Kroos at Real?
As per Italian transfer guru Rudy Galetti, Real Madrid is said to be seriously contemplating Alexis Mac Allister (25) as a potential candidate for the aforementioned role. Reports in Argentinian media also suggest the same.
Reports suggest that Real Madrid has approached Liverpool, attempting to ascertain the prospects of acquiring Mac Allister in 2025. However, no official offer has been made as of now.
Interestingly, Mac Allister moved to Liverpool from Brighton only last year in a hefty deal worth around 47 million euros. His contract expires in 2028.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, is said to consider a promotion clause in the deal. The midfielder could allegedly be allowed to leave Liverpool immediately, should a club offer 70 million euros for him, as per Argentinian media reports.
Mac Allister has appeared in 33 Premier League matches for Liverpool this season and has emerged as a pivotal player under the departing Jürgen Klopp (56). In his inaugural season, he scored five goals and also facilitated five.
Liverpool's new coach, Arne Slot (45), would undoubtedly not want to lose this 2022 World Cup winner. Yet, if Mac Allister's remarkable performance continues in the coming months and Real Madrid extends an offer, it could prove advantageous for Liverpool financially.
