Under Hasenhuttl's guidance - Is Schindzielorz open to sharing the leadership position?
Mid-April marked the point where Marcel Schäfer (39) was dropped from his position as Managing Director of Sport, with his wish to join RB Leipzig as a driving factor behind the decision. Since then, the club has prioritized finding his replacement, as they're preparing for a major overhaul next season and aiming for a return to success.
So, who will be Wolfsburg's new leading figure?
Coach Ralph Hasenhüttl (56) recently stated that he's content with the current leadership setup, which includes himself and sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz (45). He confirmed, "I can handle the situation as it is now."
Would Schindzielorz share the boss role?
Former striker Fredi Bobic (52) remains the top contender for the position of Managing Director of Sport. His name has been linked to the club for quite some time, even before the doubts surrounding Schäfer arose. Bobic would be a significant addition to the team.
Wolfsburg's detailed preparation timeline has also been set. It kicks off with performance testing on July 9 and 10, followed by the commencement of training. The team will then attend their Austrian training camp in Schladming from August 1 to 9.
