On Tuesday, without any training, the duo decided to head to Denmark for a fast and informal marriage. Getting married in Denmark is relatively easy if you have all the necessary papers.
In the mid-afternoon, Jemilla shared on Instagram that things didn't go as planned - at least one of them had failed to bring their passport.
She humorously described the situation in a photo of the couple with the Danish flag and what appeared to be the town of Sonderborg in the background, "... when you've been partying for two days and forget to bring your passport to the wedding day."
Purported Wedding Delay: Irvine's Marriage Postponed!
Postponement does not mean cancellation. To update her friends, the English woman added, "We'll give it another try tomorrow - the celebration will still happen tonight." Hence, the celebration will likely occur on Tuesday, while an attempt at marriage will be made on Wednesday.
It's worth noting that training for second-division team St.Pauli starts at 3:45 pm on Wednesday. Hopefully, the Australian has managed to tie the knot by then.
