Bavaria: The State of Germany - Individual found guilty and sent to jail for engaging in sexual activities in a church.
Review: Last July, a pair from Bavaria engaged in a steamy session in the 500-year-old Catholic church in Schechen. They even captured the deed on camera inside the altar area. Unfortunately for them, the husband was apprehended for fraud and his phone was seized.
Consequently, authorities uncovered the clips on the mobile device and brought charges against him for disrupting religious services. The altar of the church had to undergo a ceremony with incense and holy water for further gatherings.
His wife straightaway agreed to a 2,500-euro fine and thus evaded a court appearance. On the other hand, her husband had to face the music for the fraud allegations concerning his role as a campsite warden.
The verdict: a jail term of five years and five months, five months of which were for "disrupting religious practices", told a spokesperson for the district court yesterday.
The man was majorly condemned for defrauding tenants at five campsites in 20 instances. He swindled over 400,000 euros, which were subsequently seized by the court, according to the spokesperson.
