The German national ice hockey team had no chance against Sweden on Monday, losing with a score of 1:6. But they're not giving up yet, as a less challenging opponent, Latvia, is up next. To advance to the quarter-finals, Germany needs to win at least three out of the remaining four games in the group stage.
Latvia is currently undefeated in the tournament, winning all three games played so far. They managed to beat Poland 5:4 with overtime, France 3:2, and most recently, Kazakhstan 2:0. However, the Latvians still have tough matches against top teams like USA and Sweden upcoming.
