Goalkeeper from Eintracht scores themselves - In this instance, Trapp releases his disappointment stemming from the European Championship by firing away.
The Eintracht Frankfurt's goalkeeper, who wasn't chosen by national coach Julian Nagelsmann (36), is currently enjoying himself playing as a striker.
During the 13:1 win against VfL Germania 94 Frankfurt (8th division) in their last friendly match before the summer break, the fans were surprised to see Trapp start as the number 10 in the second half.
And it didn't take long for him to show his scoring skills. After being on the pitch for only five minutes, Trapp scored a cool right-footed shot into the bottom left corner.
Trapp scored again, making it 12:1, and stated, "I had to warm up my legs for the first few minutes. But then the goal came quickly, and it was a lot of fun."
Trapp seems to be getting over his European Championship disappointment.
Coach Dino Toppmöller's team was on fire during their match in Dreieich: Jean-Mattéo Bahoya (19) scored a hat trick, Farès Chaïbi (21) and Philipp Max (30) both scored twice, Nacho Ferri (19) and Tuta (24) also scored, and even substitute goalkeeper Kauã Santos (21) got into the action as a striker.
With 1,600 fans in attendance, they also got to see Sebastian Rode (33) playing one more game for Eintracht. As at his home club Alsbach on Wednesday, Rode played for 17 minutes in his last appearance for Eintracht, scoring a penalty in his final action as captain.
While Rode is now retiring from soccer, Trapp and the rest of the team are just enjoying their summer break.
