Either Stage or Bittencourt - In Leipzig, which players will Werder Bremen trust?

The unfortunate circumstances for Werder in their 2-0 loss to Wolfsburg on Matchday 27 turned out to be a blessing for the team's professional. The yellow card suspensions of Senne Lynen, Jens Stage, and Mitchell Weiser allowed for their return to the first team.

Recently, coach Ole Werner (36) has relied on a partnership of Bittencourt and Lynen, fueling a successful streak.

Does this mean Stage will be missing the upcoming game against Leipzig? According to Werner, not necessarily: "Jens has always been a significant player in my starting lineup plans. We have a variety of options available, particularly in the center, and we're happy to have everyone back."

Despite having other options on the table, Werner isn't ready to reveal his moves yet. "The combination of Senne and Leo has been successful lately. Nonetheless, Jens remains an ongoing consideration for us, a player who's played a vital role in our games. This is why we're satisfied with the variety of choices we have and can make further changes."
