Friday night's rainstorm caused approximately 70 incidents for the fire department in Dinslaken. Elevated water levels inundated basements and underground garages, according to the department. During the responding efforts, firefighters also released water from a building pit. Additional water seeped out of manhole covers or passed through brickwork into the cellars. Approximately 80 firefighters were on duty for more than five hours to handle the situation. All available resources were utilized to tackle this unexpected deluge. Lucky for everyone, there were no reported injuries.
