SCML secures IGT's instant lottery tech and data analysis

IGT Global Solutions emerged victorious in a tough bidding process, securing the three-year contract for primary printing of instant lottery tickets for SCML [Portuguese link].

Aside from printing lottery tickets in Portugal, the deal entails additional services. SCML will enjoy access to IGT Global Solutions Corporation's arsenal of instant lottery games and can take advantage of analysis tools for their national lottery offerings.

IGT lends a hand with promotional activities and ad campaigns

Moreover, IGT will assist the Portuguese national lottery with marketing initiatives and campaigns as part of the initial three-year partnership. Jay Gendron, COO of IGT Global Lottery, spoke on IGT's collaboration with SCML:

Our lengthy association with SCML and in-depth understanding of the Portuguese market give us the opportunity to work closely with the lottery, providing superior instant ticket games that cater to the local tastes of its players. [...] We're excited to contribute our wide array of innovative game content to the region and aid SCML's expansion. Jay Gendron, COO of IGT Global Lottery, Jogonet**

IGT's dominance in US lottery tech

Beyond its role in Portugal, IGT is a leading tech provider for lotteries in the United States. As the primary tech provider, IGT manages ticket production for 26 of the 46 national lotteries [US link] in the States. IGT offers not only hardware and software for lottery terminals but also innovations and updates for lottery games tailored to US lottery players' preferences.

Furthermore, IGT is the tech provider for seven of the ten largest lotteries globally and partners with institutions in Europe, America, Latin America, and Africa. IGT recently signed a six-year agreement with Atlantic Lottery Corporation (Atlantic Lottery) [Atlantic Lottery link] extending until 2029, pledging to offer Canadian lottery players at least 16 new digital instant games each year.

Despite IGT's success in the United States and other international markets, the demand for online gaming is also growing in Europe. Some online casinos in Germany are considering partnering with IGT for its innovative game content and technology.

Such collaboration between German online casinos and IGT could potentially offer German players access to a wider range of popular online casino games from IGT, enhancing their gaming experience.
