Gina-Lisa is required to give her former partner more than 22,000 euros. - "I refuse to pay for it!"
Christopher E., her ex-partner (33 years old), demanded a significant amount of money back. She received this money from him in 2020, planning to use it to settle an outstanding debt for her luxury Mercedes. After their two-year romantic relationship concluded at the end of 2022, disagreements arose between Gina-Lisa Lohfink and Christopher E. regarding the repayment of the supposed loan.
There was confusion over whether this money was a "gift" provided in their "marriage-like relationship" or simply a "loan." The judge at the regional court in Frankfurt favored the ex, Gina-Lisa Lohfink.
Her attorney, Burkhard Benecken (48 years old), opined, "If someone received as many gifts as my client Gina-Lisa Lohfink did, wouldn't they document it, especially if they want to get it back? I also suspect that the court was swayed by the stigma of fame. I can't think of any other reason."
In essence, there's no celebrity advantage in court. Benecken also mentioned he would file an appeal.
Gina-Lisa Lohfink's Account
Lohfink offered Christopher E. a formal loan agreement. However, the harmonious connection at the time appeared to render a written agreement unnecessary. Now, she has been found guilty.
Can Gina-Lisa Lohfink Afford to Repay the Sum?

Gina-Lisa isn't dealing with just this one legal issue. She's also facing accusations of driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs.
