EM's influence on Volkspark is causing concern. - HSV arranges two training sessions.

On a Friday in Paderborn, one of Hamburg's defenders suffered an injury to his calf during the first half. Schonlau exited the game at halftime as a preventative measure. Since then, he's only trained individually.

Despite this, his coach remains hopeful for his availability for the season finale against Nuremberg (3:30 pm). Steffen Baumgart, age 52, expressed optimism regarding the injured player, stating that there's a possibility he might start training this week, potentially making an appearance in Sunday's game.

Baumgart is dedicated to ending the season on a high note. He considers the last game to be crucial in bidding farewell to fans: "We want to play as if it's our final game. We want to excel and show our best. It's essential that we don't show a lack of motivation. The lads have a strong determination to perform well."

Baumgart, who's personally experienced the importance of a conclusion on a positive note, aims to secure a significant result before taking a break: "A win against Nuremberg will uplift the mood and provide a boost into our holiday."

Immanuel Pherai, a 22-year-old player who's been away due to muscle-related issues, and Masaya Okugawa, 28, with a cold, are expected to join team training on Thursday. The usual goalkeeper, Matheo Raab, 25, who's been sidelined with a cold, will be in goal on Sunday. Dennis Hadzikadunic, a 25-year-old central defender with a cold, still carries a high temperature. It's uncertain if he'll recover in time for the season finale.

With the club's stadium unavailable for training due to European Championship matches, HSV is planning either one or two summer training camps. Currently, they're working out the details. Baumgart said, "Due to the worldwide issue of stadiums being utilized for the European Championship, we only have five weeks to prepare. We'll be away from Hamburg for the first few days since we can't train at Volkpark or utilize our facilities. That's why we're in the process of setting up a short training camp."
