Pokercode squad competes in Costa Rica. - Holz and Co. ready themselves for the WSOP.
With poker prodigy Fedor Holz (30) leading the way, the "Pokercode" squad is currently prepping for poker's grandest exhibition in Sin City. These students from an interactive poker academy are honing their skills, dissecting strategies, and delving deep into poker's theoretical side, all to perform at their peak during the WSOP.
How Holz and His Crew Are Gearing Up for the WSOP
Holz: "The countdown to the poker world's most prestigious event is approaching rapidly: the World Series of Poker is about to take place in Las Vegas. In order to be as well-prepared as possible for this colossal challenge, I've gathered members of Team Pokercode in beautiful Costa Rica. Here, we've secured a stunning house set amidst lush jungle scenery and are sharpening our skills together in anticipation of the World Championships in Vegas."
Practice makes perfect. Before bounding for Vegas, they'll sharpen their skills online. Holz: "Sizable online tournaments are still in the lineup at the moment, like the "GG World Festival" on GGPoker (promo). During this period, we're using these opportunities to enhance our gameplay, construct effective routines, and collect numerous victories on the interwebs. Each day brings us countless events - a period marked by lengthy sessions and extreme variance. Maintaining mental fortitude and having a strong mindset is crucial during these times. They say there's no substitute for shared support and learning together, especially when you're in the midst of it all."
On top of that, they've snagged a house smack-dab in the heart of the Costa Rican jungle. Holz: "The surroundings play a crucial role in our success: our hideaway is nestled in the middle of the jungle. The view while playing poker is of epic proportions and the climate is perfect. Not only does everyone feel content living here; they absolutely adore the accommodations. To rejuvenate between sessions, we take advantage of nature's abundant natural beauty and gather energy for the next grind."
So, why work together as a squad? Holz: "I regard this as a fantastic way to prepare ourselves for the WSOP. With our growth as a team, we head to the felt with full vigor and concentration, aiming for one of the multitude of bracelets. From my perspective, solid preparation is pivotal. After all, 12 hours a day seated at the tables is no joke, and if you're participating in WSOP events for weeks, it can be unbelievably exhausting.¡Pura vida!"
