Disorder at a Thuringia party event. - Höcke is currently opposing his AfD party.

The AfD party in Thuringia is experiencing chaos, as they're running with two separate lists in their district. This is due to a power struggle within their district association, causing some members, loyal to Höcke, to create their own voter group since they were demoted to lower positions in the original AfD list.

This move is a tricky one, as it's a clear violation of the party's constitution. According to paragraph 2 (Membership), section 3 of the AfD constitution, simultaneous membership in the AfD and any other political party or association is not allowed when there's a competitive relationship involved.

The CDU has labeled this move "voter deception" and has brought up a potential violation of Section 14 of the Thuringian Election Act. Additionally, Höcke claims on a poster that he personally votes for the AfL, which would put him in the district of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt. However, Höcke actually lives in the Eichsfeld district, 200 kilometers away.

Matters have only gotten more complicated, as Höcke is now also stirring up trouble with more posters. In those, he uses the phrase "Alles für Thüringen" (Everything for Thuringia) instead of the controversial SA slogan "Alles für Deutschland" (Everything for Germany), for which he's currently on trial at the regional court in Halle. He previously paired this phrase with the SA slogan in a prosecution case in Gera.
