Fuel spill sets truck afire - Highway blaze engulfs vehicles.
Around six o'clock in the evening, several trucks collide on the A24 highway, located between Hornbek and Gudow (in Schleswig-Holstein). The crash resulted in a diesel spill, causing the articulated trucks to catch fire. A police representative from Lübeck stated, "The vehicles are entirely burned." Fortunately, the drivers were able to escape with injuries, but medical personnel were required to attend to them.
Due to the accident, the highway was closed in both directions causing massive traffic congestion. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
