Here's a piece of history on how to own the Tropical Garden Hotel in Las Vegas

Although the Las Vegas Tropicana Hotel will permanently close on April 2, you can still purchase souvenirs from the 67-year-old casino resort as part of a pre-demolition liquidation sale.

The sale, conducted by Ohio-based International Content Liquidations, primarily includes furniture, televisions and home furnishings for the Tropicana restaurant and 1,800 hotel rooms. One item is only $1 - which can buy you an entire hotel dresser!

Although there aren't any traditional casino memorabilia listed, and most items don't have the Tropicana logo, there's still interest among casino collectors. These include chandeliers for the resort's nightclub, patio furniture for what was once the most luxurious swimming pool on the Las Vegas Strip and "hundreds" of gaming stools.

Frustratingly, the website doesn't provide prices for these items.

Perhaps most interestingly, Tropical Theater seats, tables, and private boxes are also up for grabs. Those in the 1,100 seats will see Ann Margaret and the Osmonds, as well as Pearl Bailey and comedian Jack Benny on the same note.

The theater opened in 1973 as the Superstar Theater to Sammy Davis Jr.'s specifications. Although the Rat Pack member has never performed there, he purchased an 8% stake in the resort a year ago.

In 1974 it was renamed the Tiffany Theater and was the second and final Tropicana Theater for the showgirl show "Folies Bergère" until its closure in 2009.

In 2011, the R&B singer began a residency at the venue that became the Gladys Knight Theatre. In 2013, it was renamed the Tropicana Theater after a performance by rock band Chicago.

In recent years, the theater has been home to tribute shows such as "Legends in Concert," "MJ Live" and "Purple Reign."

ICL makes private appointments to preview items. To register for an appointment starting at 10 a.m. Monday, Click here or call 702-933-9540.
