Charles and Kate battle with cancer. - Harry and Meghan express: "We're thriving well"
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their way to Nigeria for a three-day trip to support the Invictus Games. This special sporting event, initiated by Prince Harry in 2014, holds a special place in his heart as it aims to help wounded soldiers.
During an interview with People, Prince Harry expressed why these types of trips are so important to them, stating, "Being on location is the most essential part of it for us." His wife, Meghan, also shared her sentiments, saying, "It's truly meaningful. Connecting with people is what makes it so special."
However, these words now seem to be striking a nerve with some royal fans. With King Charles III, Harry's father, and Princess Kate in England battling cancer, their level of commitment and compassion is under scrutiny. Harry and Meghan's public criticisms of the royal family haven't helped heal the rift between them. The current situation between the family members is seemingly unsolvable.
During Harry's time in London before his trip to Nigeria, there were no signs of him visiting his ill father, Charles. The lack of a visit was supposedly due to "His Majesty's busy schedule," as noted by a representative of the Prince. However, this health crisis within the royal family appeared to be far from Harry's mind as he enthusiastically spoke about his growing family during the visit to Nigeria, telling People, "We're doing great. I'm happy to see our family growing up and developing. I'm happy. We're really happy!"
