Hard Rock Bet partners with LIV Golf Chicago to launch small stakes betting series

Hard Rock Bet will introduce golf small stakes betting lines for the first time this week at the LIV Golf Chicago Championship at Rich Harvest Farm in Sugar Grove, Illinois.

Hard Rock Bet is an online digital gaming platform owned and operated by the Seminole Tribe of Florida and operates in Arizona, Iowa, Indiana, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee and Virginia. The company hopes to launch soon in the tribe's home state of Florida.

Hard Rock Bet believes its customers want more betting options on golf events. In an effort to expand its offering and move into round betting, Hard Rock Bet has partnered with Simplebet, a leading third-party small stakes lines provider.

Beginning with the LIV Chicago Golf Tournament on Friday, September 22, bettors will be able to bet on the outcome of a round on the Hard Rock Bet platform. Examples of such products include a player's score on the next hole, whether a player's tee shot hit or missed the fairway, and whether a player hit the green within the allotted time.

LIV Golf Chicago is the final regular season stop in the United States in 2023.Breakaway will then travel to Saudi Arabia for the Tour’s season finale from October 13-15.

LIV will then return to the United States to compete in the Team Golf Championship at Trump National Doral Golf Club in Miami from October 20-22. The team championship combines stroke play and match play to determine the LIV golf team champion.

Increase participation and betting

Simplebet executives say small stakes bets are good for both sports and gambling. They said more betting would increase fan engagement, which would be beneficial for leagues like LIV Golf because it would increase television and streaming viewership. More bets will also lead to higher revenue for sports betting providers.

But micro-betting in live games also comes with its challenges. Creating real-time odds and accepting bets within seconds or minutes required Simplebet to invest heavily in developing a proprietary automated betting platform.

LIV Chicago Golf Event represents a huge success for the entire Simplebet team. ” said Chris Bevilacqua, CEO of Simplebet. “We are delighted to be partnering with a forward-thinking league like LIV Golf and provide their fans with exciting ways to engage with the sport. "

“Our team spends countless hours developing the best products for LIV golf enthusiasts across the country and around the world,” Bevilacqua added.

Cameron Smith is the betting leader at 8/1 to win the LIV Golf Tournament in Chicago. Followed by Bryson DeChambeau (10/1), Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed (14/1). Brooks Koepka, Tallor Gooch, Mito Pereira and Joaquin Niemann are listed at 16/1.

Weibo Growth

Simplebet and Betr are an emerging company looking to challenge Simplebet in the micro betting space, successfully partnering with leading online sportsbooks to expand their betting deals.

Simplebet is offering small stakes bets on virtually every college and NFL football game through DraftKings this year. DraftKings also offered micro-odds on more than 2,500 college basketball games last year.

But responsible gambling advocates say small bets may increase addiction rates.

"Small stakes shorten the time between bets and rewards, increase the speed and frequency of gambling, and increase the risk of problem behaviors and negative consequences," said Keith White, executive director of the National Council on Problem Gambling.
