Devoted Servants of God - Hamas protester identified at university rally!
Twenty-one-year-old Muawia B. reportedly hails from Gaza, arrived in Germany in 2023, and currently resides in Berlin. He was present when radical students took over FU Berlin with a tent camp. There, he appeared as an individual with a non-Islamist Nike hat and sport jacket.
In German, his alternative Instagram profile appears rather benign. However, his Arabic profile contains extreme Islamic content such as "Martyrs of Allah" and beneath a picture of two supposedly deceased males: "Oh Allah, be merciful to the martyrs and receive them, oh my dears."
He also shares images displaying the entire Israeli map colored with the Palestinian flag. Below a photo of Hamas fighters' spokesperson, Abu Obaida, he comments: "You alone make us calm and joyful."
Muawia B. had participated in other protests against Israel before, including one at the Red City Hall.
On Wednesday, just a day after the protest camp was dismantled, a lecturer in the field of social sciences delivered a lecture on racism and anti-Semitism at the university. They asked, "How can you protest with the slogan 'From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free' and still maintain that Jews would be included in such a state?"
Gazing at people like Muawia B. makes it apparent that there is no place for Jews in his Palestine. Contrarily, the official Hamas charter has been condemning Jews to death. It states: "The Muslims will kill them until the Jew hides behind the rock and stone, and the stone and rock will say, 'Muslim, O servant of God! There is a Jew behind me. Come and kill him.'"
The FU student council and the online student group "Student Coalition Berlin" supported the demonstrators. The social media administrators referred to the protest camp on university grounds as a "liberated zone" using hashtags "#feminism" and "#decolonization".
