Noteworthy utterances - Guirassy's future with VfB is the subject of recent gossip.
What team will he play for in the upcoming season?
Undav: "As a top-notch striker with a modest price tag, it's evident that prominent clubs will make their moves. We can't fool ourselves. He most likely intends to and will advance. But might he have a kind heart and say: I want to stay another year in the Champions League here."
The future of Undav too remains uncertain. He's currently on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion. The buyout option of about €20 million, which must be exercised by June 15th at the latest, is too costly for VfB. The drawn-out negotiations with the English club have been ongoing for weeks without a swift resolution.
Undav has openly expressed his desire to remain in Stuttgart. However, it's unlikely that the star striker pairing of Undav/Guirassy (49 goals combined this season) will reprise their roles next season.
One matter is certain: Nick Woltemade (22) will join for free from Werder Bremen in the summer. VfB officially announced the addition of the striker (contract ending in 2028) today.
