German professional league - Guardiola enthused by potential Bayern manager Kompany
Vincent Kompany, a former player of Pep Guardiola, is believed by the latter to be a suitable candidate for the coaching position at FC Bayern, according to Guardiola himself. "If that happens, I'll be happy," Guardiola expressed his satisfaction. "I hold high regards for his work, not just because of his personality but also his understanding of the game," Guardiola added, praising Kompany's qualities. Kompany is known to be a top candidate at the Bavarian club.
According to Sky, advanced negotiations are in place with the former Bundesliga player from Hamburger SV. It is reported that an agreement has been reached for a contract in Munich lasting until 2027. There is also a need for FC Bayern to come to terms with Kompany's current club, FC Burnley, over the transfer fee. Kompany's contract with the relegated Premier League outfit runs until 2028.
