"Go to hell!" - Greek trainer loses control in Berlin hotel

Here's a preview of the exciting basketball weekend in Berlin!

On Wednesday evening, when Ataman arrived at the team hotel, he got into a heated argument with some Fenerbahce fans.

It all took place at the Hilton, where all the participating teams were staying. This was where the Fenerbahce fans gathered, celebrating their arrival with music, dancing, and pyrotechnics. Ataman, the rival team's coach, joined the excitement as well. Until some unpleasant words were exchanged.

Some fans shouted vulgar insults at Ataman, who is known to be a supporter of Fenerbahce's arch-rival, Galatasaray Istanbul. Ataman responded with his own harsh words: "Fxxx you!"

The incident took place in the hotel's lobby. No security was present at the entrance, so Ataman became frustrated and asked for someone to safeguard their hotel and respect their privacy. Some hotel officials and a few security guards eventually showed up, along with a police officer to reassure Ataman.

Earlier in the day, some representatives from both clubs had a spat and had to be separated by the hotel security. The police responded quickly, and the situation calmed down.

Fenerbahce fans rant against their compatriot Ergin Ataman

The second semi-final on Friday will feature Olympiakos Piraeus against defending champions Real Madrid. This is quite the rivalry, equivalent to Schalke vs. Dortmund - it doesn't get much more heated than this. Unfortunately, fans of the away team have not been allowed at Greek league games for years due to constant violence and riots.

The police are taking no chances, as they're deploying close to 1000 officers for the upcoming Euroleague final basketball tournament. The focus will be on ensuring order in the vicinity of Uber Arena, where the games will take place. In addition, about 800 stewards and security staff will be present at the arena, guaranteeing a highly secure environment for the event.

It's going to be a thrilling and heated basketball weekend in Berlin.
