In spite of a record-breaking scrap collection period, - Gladbach still trust in Seoane's abilities!
Borussia Mönchengladbach experienced a dismal end to the season, losing 4-0 in Stuttgart with little fight. Finishing in 14th place, just a single point above relegation spots, this concluded a disastrous campaign. For the second half of the Bundesliga, Gladbach ranked 17th, earning lesser points than even the bottom-placed Darmstadt.
Incredibly Rare Achievement - Fewer Points than Thrice ever before
Several notable facts from this disappointing season: Gladbach managed to acquire just 34 points, the least in fifteen years, with even the 2010/11 relegation season earning 36 points. Historically, there have only been three instances in 56 Bundesliga seasons when the team had fewer points.
Despite such disappointing results, coach Gerardo Seoane (45) appears set to continue in his role for the upcoming season.
Immediately following the loss to Stuttgart, manager Roland Virkus (57) shared his thoughts: "It's about the substance. We must question everything constructively and critically. However, it's not fair to solely blame the coach. We also need to maintain some consistency within the club."
Support for Seoane also comes from captain Jonas Omlin (30): "The coach has done his job. After cycling through four different coaches in the past four years, it's not always the coach's fault. The team must take responsibility."

While Seoane’s predecessors, Adi Hütter (54) and Daniel Farke (48), were not given the opportunity for a second season, Seoane seems to have greater support from the club. He expressed defiance after the game, saying: "We, including the entire coaching staff, have an abundance of energy. We are convinced that we can do better next season. Now we will analyze everything objectively and exhaustively."
Seoane went on, stating, "We must draw the right conclusions and make the appropriate decisions."
The beginning of the new Bundesliga season will reveal if this decision to persist with Seoane was wise.
