Forty-five days of time off - Gladbach is gearing up for the new season in this manner.
Last Tuesday, the Borussia Mönchengladbach players wore their soccer cleats for the final time when they faced off against Viktoria Jüchen Garzweiler's regional league squad, winning 5:1. Coaches Gerardo Seoane (45) and his team have until the end of the week to dissect the season with the sporting management led by Roland Virkus (57). However, the players, who participated in a few charitable events on Wednesday, began their 45-day vacation on Thursday.
Training Camp at Lake Tegernsee Reopens for the 11th Time
Borussia's players won't reunite at Borussia-Park until July 8th and 9th, where they'll undergo the two-day medical checkups mandatory before the start of a new season. They'll commence the first grass training session for the up-and-coming season on July 10th.
From July 27th to August 2nd, the team will return to their summer training camp at Lake Tegernsee. Borussia's team is once again staying at the "Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt" in Rottach-Egern, marking the 11th time they've chosen this location for their camp.

The team started preparing for the 2012 season in Rottach-Egern and continued doing so until 2019. They had to switch to the "Hotel Klosterpforte" in Harsewinkel-Marienfeld for two years due to the pandemic but came back to Lake Tegernsee in 2022 and 2023.
Roland Virkus, the team's manager (57), remarked regarding the sports facilities and the Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt: "The conditions at Lake Tegernsee are perfect."
The first competitive matches of the new season are scheduled for mid-August, with the DFB Cup's main rounds taking place from the 16th to the 19th. The Bundesliga season will commence on Friday, August 23, 2024, with the opening match.
