The Bundeswehr recently kicked off tests of the Heron TP unmanned drone at Jagel Air Base in Schleswig-Holstein. This Israeli-made drone, produced by Aerospace Industries in partnership with Airbus, came with a hefty price tag of €59 million for just six months. Five of these impressive machines will be stationed at Jagel Air Base for trials.

For feat of strength, these flying wonders can hold their position in the air for a remarkably extended 27 hours.

The first test flight took place under the code name "Skynet" to throw off tracking apps. The drone soared for almost four hours and will be officially revealed next week. [
