She continuously persevered. - Gerlinde's struggle with cancer has come to an end.

A woman aged 46 from Saarland desperately wished to watch her two sons grow up beside her husband. But the ruthless cancer struck her.

Refusing to give up, she stayed strong until the very end, with her partner, Michael (45), supporting her through these trying times. He took care of her at home to provide her with a peaceful rest in familiar surroundings.

Gerlinde's contribution to the family as a special school teacher added to their income. Michael took time off work to accompany his wife during her final days.

Emanating immense sympathy, the family's donation account witnessed a contribution of approximately 150,000 euros within the past few months. This was Gerlinde's ardent desire, ensuring her family's financial stability even after her demise, and providing a good education to her children, Michi (11) and Manu (12).

Anneliese Uhrig, the woman's father's partner, took the initiative to launch a charitable appeal on the website "GoFundMe."

Saddened by the turn of events, she announced, "She battled relentlessly against the illness. Despite her ardent wish to live and grow old with the love of her life, the cancer ultimately triumphed!"
