"Time for the Final 'Let's Dance'" - Gabriel Kelly secures triumph in samba competition.

This "Let's Dance" season's favorite, Gabriel Kelly (22), demonstrated his worth as "Dancing Star 2024" from the beginning. In the finale on RTL (also available on RTL+), he decisively won with a flawless 90 points.

A night to remember: Dancing Stars' impressive performances

The jury dances of the three finalists showcased what they had learned throughout the season. Choreographer and coach Detlef D! Soost (53) and his professional partner Ekaterina Leonova (37) performed exquisitely in a slow waltz to "What A Wonderful World." Motsi Mabuse (43) was both amazed and proud, as it was a "special night" for them. Together with Jorge González (56) and Joachim Llambi (59), they awarded an impressive 27 points.

Vadim Garbuzov (37) and Jana Wosnitza (30) danced a captivating slow Rumba. González highlighted its many "good moments," while Mabuse and Llambi described it as sensual and romantic. Despite that, they only received 27 points. The night's crown jewel was saved for the big favorite, Gabriel Kelly. His spicy samba with Malika Dzumaev (33) earned the highest honors: multiple standing ovations from the audience and a perfect 30 points. In fact, Llambi announced, "[He] set new standards. This was the best samba in 17 years, of all the contestants."

Quick break and reunion time

To keep things interesting, a group performance from the professionals and a reunion with eliminated contestants Maria Clara Groppler (25), Eva Padberg (44), Lina Larissa Strahl (26), and Stefano Zarrella (33) was shown. Biyon Kattilathu (40), Tony Bauer (28), Lulu (32), and Ann-Kathrin Bendixen (24) also made appearances outside of the competition. Unfortunately, Mark Keller (59), Sophia Thiel (29), and Tillman Schulz (34) were unable to perform due to injuries or illnesses.

Llambi's favorite

While all three finalists had breathtaking performances in round two, favorite Kelly dominated the room. His tango with Malika Dzumaev (33) garnered a resounding ovation. Despite Dzumaev's skirt getting stuck, the couple was able to maintain a high level of professionalism throughout. Unsurprisingly, they gained a perfect 30 points.

53-year-old Soost showed his dynamism through his impressive Samba. Llambi couldn't help but verbalize his desire for Kelly to win: "[He] is simply the best this year," Llambi pointed out. González agreed, praising Soost's facial expressions. However, he noted that the show could have used more "sensational" Sambas. The judges awarded Soost a well-deserved 29 points.

The unrivaled Wosnitza delivered an equally phenomenal Quickstep. Optimistically, the jury praised her as their "standard queen," while Llambi expressed, "You would always be entitled to that." Additionally, González acknowledged her "fantastic show so far." Wosnitza was rewarded with an incredible 29 points to match Soost's.

Role models and a finale opponent

Soost and Wosnitza did not concede without a fight. Soost's freestyle to "Men in Black" was met with cheers from the studio. Llambi praised Soost's dedication to giving everything he had: "You were always Detlef. And you always gave a thousand percent." Both Mabuse and González were "blown away," awarding him a perfect 10 points.

Wosnitza's final Beyoncé freestyle was her best performance of the night. She elicited a standing ovation from the audience and all three judges. Llambi appreciated her "incredible hard work," and Mabuse mused, "This was a powerful woman who owned the stage." González echoed that sentiment, noting she "didn't just dance; [she] cleaned up with girl power." Wosnitza closed the night with a faultless 30 points.

Although the result was almost certain, viewers were still on the edge of their seats. So, who do you think won the highly anticipated "Let's Dance" season?

Kelly and Dzumaev's freestyle performance of Romeo and Juliet was the pinnacle of the season. Mabuse thought they were the epitome of "true dancing" and their routine displayed "top-notch" dancing skills. Llambi marveled at all three freestyles, which were unique and exceptional in their own right, but the 22-year-old stood out with his interpretation in the final. Thus, Kelly accrued the highest points from the judges an astounding three times, culminating in earning a perfect score of 90, while Soost and Wosnitza received a commendable 86 points each.

The audience at home also voiced their admiration for Kelly, leading to his victory alongside Dzumaev as "Dancing Star 2024" during the grand finale on Saturday night. Soost and Leonova claimed the third spot, and Wosnitza and Garbuzov nabbed the runner-up position.

Don't turn off your TV just yet; "Let's Dance - Die große Profi Challenge" will air on RTL on May 31 at 8:15 pm.
