Poland's Oasis: Pululu - Fürth's Defeat Turns to Championship Triumph
At Greuther Fürth, striker Afimico Pululu (25) was a flop for 1.5 years. The Angolan failed to net a single goal in 21 professional outings, frequently being relegated to play with the reserve squad in the local league.
Consequently, no one shed a tear when Pululu secured a new team last summer - Polish top-tier side Jagiellonia Bialystok. And now, the frontman is penning a football fable!
Pululu spearheaded the underdog's surge, who had finished 14th in the Ekstraklasa season 2022/23, to their first-ever championship title. Previously of Fürther, he bagged a phenomenal 12 goals as the top marksman for his team.
Currently, Pululu and Jagiellonia are flirting with Champions League qualification.
