Which bird is owned by whom? - Fugitive ostrich being pursued by authorities

At 11:17 AM on a Tuesday morning, the police station in Jerichow Land received a report of a roaming ostrich in the area of Biederitz, in the town of Gerwisch (Saxony-Anhalt).

Locals filed several complaints about the loose bird, which was spotted at the entrance of the village from Magdeburg's direction.

In response, police, along with a veterinarian, public safety officials, and other local forces, closed off the B1 highway to try and capture the creature.

Unfortunately, the ostrich panicked during the attempted capture, leading it to run away in an unknown direction. The bird's owner could not be traced, according to the police.

Anyone with information about the lost ostrich or its owner is asked to contact the public safety office in Biederitz.
