Four-Month-Old Puppies Found Deserted on Pavement in Las Vegas' Sweltering Heat
Authorities from the Animal Protection Services in Las Vegas saved four puppies from abandonment this week. They were left abandoned in a pail on the sidewalk.
The four puppies, all siblings and four months old, were brought by the officers to the Animal Foundation, where they reported that the puppies were responding to emergency treatment for severe mange. This skin condition is caused by tiny mites that infest the skin, leading to bleeding, open sores, and hair loss. The puppies named Aramis, Constance, Athos, and Milady, due to their lack of tags or microchips, will need several weeks of medicated baths and antibiotics before they can be considered healthy enough for adoption.
The puppies had been left outside in the heat.
In an Instagram post, The Animal Foundation stated, "As animal lovers, we understand that saving lives is a community effort, and we can't do it alone."
For those with the capacity to foster one of these puppies, they are encouraged to email [email protected] and mention litter number A1322258.
