A Bavarian teenager has been missing since September 2017. - Found: Till Emerges Following Almost Seven-Year Absence
In the year 2019, investigators were publicly searching for a missing 15-year-old from Franconia. This case made it onto the popular show, "Aktenzeichen XY."
But, recently, there's some good news to share: Till, the missing boy, has been found! The Mittelfranken police made this announcement on a Tuesday morning.
Travelled to Lingen in 2017
Till hadn't been seen since September 2017. The Ansbach Criminal Police told us that he left without his parents' consent, taking a train to visit an online gaming pal in Lingen, Emsland (Lower Saxony). The local youth welfare office drove him to the station, but Till got off the train during the journey.
His final contact with someone outside the family was with a schoolmate around mid-October 2017. They spoke, and the teenager said he was doing fine and didn't feel like returning home.
Investigations considered the possibility that Till had become a victim of a violent crime, but there was no definite conclusion from the search.
Finally, the police shared, Till reconnected with his family in April 2024. Through this interaction, they could confirm that the boy's disappearance in 2017 hadn't been related to any criminal activity.
