Singapore instead of England! [ - Former Werder-Thy player secures transfer to the Premier League.

In the coming years, Thy will represent Lion City Sailors in Singapore. Interestingly, this decision comes despite Thy's (13 season goals) remarkable contribution to PEC Zwolle's success in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Former Werder Thy Makes a Big Leap

Motivation behind the transfer:

Thy, who had previously played 14 Bundesliga games for Werder, scoring one goal, explains his reasoning: "The time feels right to embark on such an exciting journey. We as a family (wife Pascalle, 4-year-old son Jaimy, and 2-year-old daughter Maya) are eager to explore new horizons, immerse ourselves in different societies, and gain invaluable experiences."

Singapore instead of the Netherlands, nearly 10,000 kilometers from their home in the Rhineland.

The German all-time top scorer in the Eredivisie, with 54 goals, surpassing the 54-world champion Helmut Rahn in 2022, also aims to keep scoring in the Far East: "The club's objective is to capture championship titles, which they haven't held in a while. That's our primary objective - and highly inspiring for me."
