Music venue for rock bands and fans - Former leader of the "Hells Angels" dies in Iran.

A former leader of the "Hells Angels" rocker club who had international warrants out for his arrest has been killed in Iran. According to a report from the Iranian news agency Tasnim on Tuesday, Ramin Y., a man said to have lived in North Rhine-Westphalia, died in a personal dispute. It's believed that he was the ex-'Hells Angels' boss in Mönchengladbach and held German citizenship. He was wanted for murder and attempted murder.

Tasnim dismissed claims that Israel, Iran's archenemy, was involved in the killing. Iranian exile media had suggested that Y. was targeted due to his alleged membership in the powerful Iranian Revolutionary Guards. Just a few weeks ago, tensions between Iran and Israel were sky-high, with many fearing a potential war. Israel didn't offer a direct confirmation of its involvement.

The deceased man is thought to be the person the Düsseldorf Appeals Court identified back in December as the mastermind behind an arson attack on a school in Bochum. The intention had been to target a nearby synagogue. The court determined that the incident was likely orchestrated by an Iranian state agency. Y. was also a main suspect in a separate case involving a murdered and dismembered rocker whose arm was found floating in a harbor basin in Duisburg.

Since the Iranian Revolution in 1979, the USA and Israel have been considered the Islamic Republic's biggest enemies. Their long-running shadow war has become more overt in recent times. On April 13, Iran's Revolutionary Guards launched a massive attack on Israel using drones and missiles, in response to a suspected Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus. Two generals and five other members of the Revolutionary Guards were killed in this incident earlier this month.
