Unveiled in April. - Former Halle coach assumes leadership of third division team.

From 2008 to 2011, a Croatian player was part of SVS, playing in 74 competitive matches. This player also had a stint at VfB Stuttgart (1996-2000) and Union Berlin (2001-2004).

Ristic took up the role of head coach in 2021, beginning with Kickers Offenbach, and then in February 2023 with Hallescher FC. Unfortunately, he was let go from his position at Halle in April. Despite this, the club went on to fail in trying to stay in the 3rd division.

Despite the setback, SVS still believes in their former player, Ristic. They plan to have him lead the team during the upcoming season, as the previous head coach, Jens Keller, has left.

Notably, SVS had a dismal finish in the last season, landing in the 8th spot as a second division team on the brink of relegation. With Ristic in charge, they are determined to work their way back up to the 2nd division by summer.
