Gabriel Kelly sheds kilos through dancing - Fitter due to "Let's Dance" efforts!
Mark Keller (age 59) and Tony Bauer (age 28) were unable to continue due to illness, while even choreographer Detlef D! Soost (age 53) is having a tough time. However, for one of them, the dance competition appears to be a breeze: Gabriel Kelly (age 22), son of Angelo Kelly (42) from the Kelly Family. On Friday, Gabriel made it to the semi-finals without breaking a sweat. In fact, he lost a bit of weight.
For his performance, Gabriel and his professional dance partner Malika Dzumaev (age 33) danced a contemporary routine. It was full of sensuality, with Gabriel dressed in an open shirt and dancing barefoot.
Judge Joachim Llambi (age 59) was impressed and praised the performance, giving it a standing ovation.
Gabriel attributed his success to Malika, who he says has boosted his self-confidence. He also credits his family's extensive experience with performing on stage, having done hundreds of shows together.
His partner, musician Leoni Miller, encouraged him to participate in "Let's Dance." The couple has been together for years. Gabriel Kelly remarked, "I believe my girlfriend likes my slimmer look. So far, she hasn't complained, and the few extra pounds I've lost are beneficial for my beach body."
Despite his concerns about gaining the weight back after the competition, Gabriel still has the semi-finals and the final to conquer. Perhaps his newfound lightness will lead him to victory.
