First NFL slot machine arrives in US casinos
Just in time for the start of football season, the first batch of NFL-branded slot machines arrived at casinos across the country on Thursday, August 31st. Manufactured by Australian company Aristocrat Gaming, these machines are the most anticipated products of 2023 in the gaming equipment industry.
Aristocrat plans to launch a series of league-themed slots in the coming months, the first of which is NFL Super Bowl Jackpots. The machine, currently only available at Resorts World Las Vegas, allows players to select their favorite team and then load relevant images and videos of key game moments and even the stadium anthem, according to the Aristocrat website.
This game features a $1 million jackpot and is also available at select casinos in California, Oklahoma, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, Oregon and Arizona.
Hector Fernandez, CEO of Aristocrat Gaming, recently said: “I firmly believe that this could be an industry-changing event for slot machines and the casino itself… pushing boundaries and driving innovation to achieve things that have never been done before. Things done."CNBC month.
Fernandez said he believed football machines would encourage young men to try slot machines, which have traditionally been the domain of older women.
A league once allergic to the word "gambling" now estimates it will generate $270 million in revenue from deals with casino companies and sportsbooks. One league official told The Washington Post in 2021 that number could grow to $1 billion within a decade.
