Finished just moments before departure. - Final HSV Transaction Involves Boldt
The midfielder, who's the latest transfer of HSV's sports board, is set to depart after five years. Previously on loan from the French first division club RC Lens, Poreba will be signed permanently.
Just recently, Boldt negotiated a significant decrease in the transfer price. The agreed fee for the loan was around 1.2 million euros, but now the team in the second division is paying roughly 300,000 euros.
Director Claus Costa (39) commented, "Lukasz has seamlessly assimilated into HSV in both respects - on and off the field during his one-year loan. Showcasing his multi-faceted capabilities with and without the ball, he has also demonstrated potential for further growth. We're eager to work alongside him to harness this potential."
With limited opportunities under former coach Tim Walter (48), Poreba found more success under Baumgart (52). Previously playing for Poland's U21 team (ten appearances), he became a consistent starter, scoring against Kaiserslautern (2:1) and Nuremberg (4:1).
Poreba stated on hsv.de, "I've made it clear many times that I feel quite at home at HSV. I'm thrilled about the opportunity to remain part of the team and this club."
