Voting Process - Fewer options available for voters in the European elections, with a decrease of six parties listed.
Thirty-four political parties are set to compete in the upcoming European elections in Thuringia, which is a decrease of six compared to the previous election in 2019, as announced by the state election director, Holger Poppenhäger, on Tuesday. This means the ballot sheets will be 80.5 centimeters long. The European polls are scheduled for June 9th, and for the first time, teenagers aged 16 and 17 are entitled to vote. In addition, concurrent local elections for district councillors and mayors will take place in the region of Thuringia.
