Collision Occurs on A1 Highway - Female transported to medical facility via air rescue.
A woman aged 25 had a car accident on the Autobahn 1 between the interchanges of Hamburg-Ost and Barsbüttel on Tuesday night. The police spokesperson claimed that a truck likely missed noticing her car when switching lanes. As a result, her car overturned and ended up on its roof.
Thankfully, her injuries were not life-threatening and she was airlifted to the hospital for extra care. Later on Wednesday morning, the northbound lane of A1 was shut down to ensure an investigation into the accident. The police eventually reopened the road by 7:30 PM. Prior to the official confirmation, various news outlets had reported the incident.
