Visualizations akin to an action film unfold. - Female driver speeds away from authorities at high speed, resulting in an accident.

Last Wednesday night, officers noticed a Seat vehicle driving down the middle of the road on the B 53 highway in Neumagen-Drohn (Rhineland-Palatinate). The vehicle had its hazard lights on and when the police tried to help the driver, the woman in the driver's seat suddenly sped away.

In a dangerous move, the woman drove at high speeds, up to 180 km/h, overtaking entire car convoys, ignoring traffic rules. In an incredibly close call, the patrol car and another vehicle were nearly involved in a collision.

Described by the police in a Thursday statement, the woman "accelerated again and drove about 120 km/h in the opposite direction". However, the pursuit soon ended when the Seat crashed into an oncoming Audi, and then rammed into a parked VW.

But the woman's pursuit didn't stop there. Instead, she got out of the Seat and took off running until she was finally caught by the police and held down by them. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries while the Audi driver (28), also slightly injured, was taken to a different hospital. The two vehicles were both towed away.

The woman is now facing several legal actions and her driving license has been confiscated. It remains a mystery why she initially tried to evade the checkpoint.
