Untermooweiler in Baden-Württemberg witnesses high crime rates. - Feline Stray Caught in Gunfire

"Initially, it appeared as though Lore had been bitten by a marten," states Margarita Schele (62), a resident of Untermooweiler (Baden-Württemberg). However, X-rays exposed the true nature of Lore's injuries - she had been shot.

Schele has filed a report with the police in Wangen, who are now actively searching for any potential witnesses to the crime.

The Bullet's Devastating Impact

"The bullet pierced Lore's neck," confesses Schele. Fragmenting upon impact, one piece shattered Lore's cervical spine while the other came frighteningly close to her heart. "I cannot comprehend how she made it home with her injuries," Schele exclaims. "We could only save her."

Lore, estimated to be 15 years old, had been living with owner Margarita Schele for nearly a decade. "I don't comprehend who would commit such a heinous act, and what they could potentially shoot next," she wonders.

Her owner Margarita Schele (62) initially thought it was a maggot bite, but x-rays showed the shot in Lore's body

The shooting likely occurred either on Wednesday or Thursday. "Lore returned home on Friday morning," Schele speculates. "Perhaps it was strangers who were in the area over Father's Day?"

Tragically, Schele has little choice but to lay her beloved dog to rest. "Lore's life should not have ended in this manner. This is a deeply saddening occurrence."
