FCM also discusses the talent of Zambia's soccer player.

The hunt for potential recruits has started at 1. FC Magdeburg. However, no definite names have been revealed yet. FCM's sporting director Otmar Schork (66) is not easily swayed: "We'll only share news when there's something worth announcing."

Could Schork be dating Hercher? - FCM also discusses the talent of Zambia's soccer player.

Tim Siersleben from Heidenheim and Luca Sirch from Lok Leipzig are the first professional footballers to be involved in a trade. Notably, Zambian international and captain Lusambo Musonda (29) is also rumored to be a target for Magdeburg. The Danish newspaper Avis reports that the left-back is attracting interest from the second division club.

Musonda is a seasoned international player and is currently on loan from Silkeborg IF to AC Horsens, playing in the second Danish league. There's speculation that he could make a move in the summer.

Magdeburg's head coach Schork previously announced that the club's scouting department would be more active in other European countries. With Musonda, he could put this plan into action right away.

Hercher Heading to 1. FC Magdeburg?

It seems FCM is close to signing Philipp Hercher (28) from Kaiserslautern. According to the "Magdeburg Blau-Weiß" portal, the winger has already visited the stadium.

Hercher, who used to play for Nuremberg, fits the club's requirements well, as he's known for his speed. The positions left open by Leon Bell Bell and Herbert Bockhorn (who may return) could be filled by him.

Although Hercher has struggled with limited playtime at FCK, he showed promise in the 2022/23 season with 28 games and 5 goals. Hercher was told by the Red Devils that his contract would not be renewed.

If FC Magdeburg does sign Hercher, they'll need to reassess his form after several months of inactivity due to a hip injury.
