Nideggen Council - Father and child injured as family flees house fire, both in critical condition
Around 1:15 am, a fire broke out on the terrace of a house on the street An den Eichen. The fire department arrived at the scene quickly and managed to put out the flames. Unfortunately, the terrace, the living room next to it, and some parts of the roof were damaged in the process. The occupants of the house, all eight of them, managed to evacuate unharmed. However, the father and a three-year-old child suffered smoke inhalation and needed to be taken to the hospital.
The origin of the fire is still a mystery. After the extinguishing was finished, the fire scene was secured and seized by the authorities. The criminal investigation unit has now taken over the investigation.
